About this property
A beautifully furnished stone-built cottage with an archway over the driveway, Harbour Lights House, Seahouses, is an ideal getaway for a family or group of adults looking to explore Northumberland. Reverse level, you will find the living area of this property on the first-floor, open-plan and with tall ceilings sporting illuminating skylights, a stunning bare brick fireplace housing a woodburning stove and a selection of sofas for you to recline on with a cup of tea and plan the day ahead of you. Mealtimes can be enjoyed at a glass dining table, and the charm of the sitting area is continued into the kitchen, where contemporary white cupboards offer all of the space and home-from-home amenities to cook up a storm. You will be able to cosy up in one of the three bedrooms, a first-floor double with pink walls and an en-suite, a ground-floor double with a yellow feature wall and ground-floor twin, as well as a family shower room, and a bathroom on the first floor. Seahouses is a lovely coastal location offering a selection of shops, eateries and a picturesque local harbour. Spend a day at the sandy beach or enjoy a coastal tour with Serenity Farne Island Boat Tours before taking a stroll through Annstead Dunes Nature Reserve and experiencing the wonderful wildlife and scenery. Explore the local history with a visit to Beadnell Lime Kilns, or head over to Bamburgh where a visit to the magnificent castle is a must. A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
