The Bathing House is repeatedly praised for its stunning location and unique charm. Guests love the proximity to the sea, the beautiful views, and the cosy atmosphere. While some minor issues with comfort and facilities are mentioned, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
The property is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are met.
The location is frequently highlighted as exceptional, with guests loving the sea views and proximity to nature. It is considered a standout feature of the property.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially with the new beds and bedding. However, some guests mention uncomfortable mattresses and seating for six people, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are mostly appreciated, but there are comments about the kitchen being understocked for larger groups and some equipment needing updates. Overall, facilities meet guests' needs but with room for improvement.
Guests mention thoughtful touches like treats from the housekeeper and the provision of logs and kindling. While gifts are appreciated, they are a delightful surprise and not guaranteed for every stay.
Boasting a superb cliff top position, this stone cottage stands in the most idyllic and desirable location 2.5 miles from the small fishing village of Craster.
A simply stunning Grade II listed holiday cottage in the most superb location! The Bathing House is perched on the rocks above a little sandy cove with 180 degree sea views. Imagine falling asleep to the sounds of the waves, waking up and drawing back the curtains and gazing out over the ocean.

This romantic location was a favourite spot of the 2nd Earl Grey who commissioned the build of the house for his family to use when they went bathing… he had 16 children! Today The Bathing House is owned by Howick Trustees Ltd, who also own Howick Hall.
The majestic ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle can be seen in the north, whilst to the south there are distant views of Coquet Island.
