We had a lovely stay at The Waiting Room, it was well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A lovely comfy bed and a clawfoot bath to soak in after one of those long walks you can take from the door. I don't have much of a bottom, so found the dining chairs a little firm, but otherwise the beds and seating was very comfortable, and the bungalow was a comfortable temperature We knew it was not located close to amenities, so this was not an issue, as we got our provisions on the way. There is a pub and cafe in the village, but opening times are hit and miss, especially off season. It was an ideal base for visiting all the places we wanted, and as mentioned you could take walks from the door. There was also a lovely sitting out area on what wasa the platform, where you could just sit and gaze and the scenery and wildlife. We would recommend, visiting Cragside, Jedburgh and Warkworth, when not ut walking or cycling.

We stayed at The Waiting Room in Falstone, very quiet area, little traffic no street lights so on a cloudless night beautiful starry skies. Accommodation was well equipped and clean, small garden area with beautiful views.
