The Old Chapel in Hexham receives glowing praise for its beautiful conversion, stylish décor, and exceptional comfort. Guests consistently highlight the spotless cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and high-quality bedding. The peaceful village setting, with a friendly community pub and shop nearby, adds to the charm. Owners Helena and Andy are frequently mentioned for their warm welcome and helpfulness. Occasional minor issues, such as heating controls and requests to strip beds, are noted but do not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The property is highly recommended for families, groups, and special occasions.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as 'spotless', 'perfectly clean', and 'squeaky clean' by numerous guests. Only one minor mention of a loo brush holder needing attention was noted, but this did not affect the overall impression.

The location is praised for its peaceful village atmosphere, proximity to a community pub and shop, and easy access to Hexham and local attractions. Guests appreciate the quiet setting and friendly local community.

Guests consistently mention the property as 'very comfortable', with 'extremely comfortable' beds and quality bedding. The open-plan layout and underfloor heating are also highlighted as contributing to a relaxing stay.

The property is described as 'well equipped', with a modern kitchen, quality fixtures, and thoughtful amenities. Occasional minor issues with heating controls and shower mechanisms were mentioned, but overall satisfaction with facilities is extremely high.

Many guests mention a warm welcome from the owners and, in some cases, a welcome pack or box with treats such as a bottle of fizz. While these gestures are appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Absolutely fabulous holiday rental property. There is everything that you need whilst you’re away. ALL of the bedrooms are suitable so there was no arguing over who had the best room. There were plenty of tea towels and loo roll….which isn’t always the case when you’re away. Would definitely recommend. Also Helena was very helpful when we had a puncture on the morning of our departure.

This is the best holiday home we have ever rented! It was squeaky clean and beautifully warm. Every fixture and fitting is of the highest quality. The stylish design is both modern and sympathetic to the age of the building. Helena and Andrew are excellent hosts; warm and gracious. There was not a single negative about our stay. Slaley is a great location to explore the area, with a very welcoming community-owned pub just a few strides away.
