We spend an absolutely lovely week in the Gin Gang. Hexham is a lovely town and a great base to explore Northumberland along with Hadrian’s Wall.We used mainly public transport, visiting Newcastle, Prudhoe and Carlisle by train. The AD122 bus takes you along the route of Hadrian’s Wall where you can drop off and back on wherever you want. The Gin Gang I has everything you need and there are plenty of places to eat along with supermarkets if you prefer to cook and eat in the property. Hexham Racecourse is easily walkable and we were lucky enough that there was a race meet on whilst we were there (and we didn’t lose our shirts).I would thoroughly recommend this property and Tricia and Adrian are superb hosts, being on hand to help with anything you need.
