The house is on the edge of the owners farm with the surrounding fields having cows and horses. It's on a quiet road about a mile or so from the local village of haydon Bridge. Which has a Co op, and chippy, and pubs. The house was peaceful and relaxing, we saw rabbits in the garden most days. It had everything we needed for the week. It was clean and well equipped. Visitor info could use a bit more about the area. But we just used the Internet to find what we wanted. WiFi was great. Hexham is the local town with lots of shops and the Abbey is beautiful.great base for visiting Hadrian's Wall.

A beautiful cottage overlooking ponies out front, with baby lambs in the field at the rear...spent many moments watching them have fun! The cottage was a great location for seeing much of Northumberland and was an exceptional stay for us, peaceful, relaxing.....a home from home.
