About this property

Brada View is a homely ground-floor apartment resting in Bamburgh, ideal for a family looking to explore the coast of Northumberland. Be welcomed into a sitting area where pale walls and a stripy rug draw your attention to the leather sofas, a great space to relax in after a long day at the beach. When mealtimes call, the kitchen/diner with blue walls and matching sea-foam tiles houses a great many amenities to make a family meal, which you can enjoy at the dining table or outside in the sitting area nestled into an enclosed courtyard garden. Soak the sand from your hair in a contemporary bathroom before settling down for the night in a king-size bedroom with lavender furnishings and storage or a twin with blue furniture and a selection of children’s games and books. Bamburgh is a fantastic location with loads on offer for guests so why not head down to the local deli and food emporium and sample local produce whilst stocking up on essentials? Many days can be spent at the beautiful sandy beach, ideal for watersports and coastal walks, and afterwards you can warm up with a hearty meal at a local pub and a glass of your favourite beverage. Last but certainly not least, Bamburgh has a magnificent castle towering over the town and allowing for extensive views of the local bay and countryside. More walks can be found at Seahouses and Beadnell, and there is also the option of visiting the increadible Holy Island. Make a family holiday to remember with a stay at the wonderful Brada View.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

It is close to village centre and beach and we loved being so close to the beach for early morning walks.
