Settled into the quaint seaside town of Amble, Northumberland, Creel Cottage provides an ideal base for a family looking to explore the coast and local attractions. Be welcomed into this quaint terraced stone cottage and make yourself at home in a sitting area with an ornamental fireplace and a selection of leather sofas. Family dinners can be cooked in the amply fitted kitchen, with green tiles and loads of appliances, it is a spacious room also sporting a dining table, where guests can enjoy their meal together. There are three bedrooms within the property, as well as a bathroom, including a double, twin and a single with a pull-out bed, each with homely décor and storage. For those who love alfresco dining, you will be able to make the most of the outdoor sitting area in the warmer months and relax with a good book and a glass of your favourite beverage. Amble is a wonderful seaside town with loads on offer for guests, beginning with the selection of tasty eateries, shops and convenience store, and you can enjoy riverside walks or take in the scenery at the local harbour. Enjoy a day at the beach at Low Hauxley Beach, or explore the local coastline further with a trip to Hauxley Nature Reserve or a boat trip to Coquet Island, an RSPB nature reserve located just off the coast. Further from the property you will find the wonderful town of Warkworth with its amazing castle ruins. Make a coastal getaway to remember with a stay at Creel Cottage.

Amble, a bustling small harbour at the River Coquet's mouth, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. In addition to sandy beaches, a marina, a harbour, and coastal hikes to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and the national park at Druridge Bay, Amble, once a centre for boatbuilding, offers all of these amenities. A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by the large fishing boats that are moored around the harbour wall. On the side of the harbour is a fish centre that sells local fish and is available to the public. It is currently mostly a shellfish hatchery to restock levels of lobster and other shellfish. Coquet Island, an rspb reserve with a sizable population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks, is located one mile south of Amble. Boat tours around the island can be booked. A short drive will take you to attractive Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, charming Warkworth with its castle, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside, in addition to a number of excellent beaches and charming coastal villages.

There is no off road parking for this property but there is adequate space just a few seconds walk away on the adjacent road. This cosy cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated and it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The town centre is 10 minutes walk away past the harbour where you will find a good selection of shops, cafés and restaurants/takeaways. There is also a large Sunday market held by the quayside that is worth a visit.

Perfectly placed in the very pretty fishing village at Amble. We had originally hoped for accommodation in Alnwick, but both of us couples said we were glad that we had found Amble instead. The cottage was immaculately kept, spotlessly clean, and had everything we could possibly need.

Extremely pleased with how well prepared the property was. Will be sharing the property and the lovely Amble with family and friends
