Reivers Lodge is a quaint log cabin set on the banks of the river Coquet. Built over 200 years ago, this property is in close proximity of many local market towns.

This pretty Scandinavian Style wooden lodge sleeps 4 people. The bright accommodation is all on one level with an open plan living/dining and kitchen area. The bathroom is beautiful with roll top bath and the two lovely bedrooms are both comfortably furnished. Doors open onto a private deck area with table and chairs - the views from here are stunning and extend towards Harbottle Forest and the Cheviot Hills - a peaceful spot for relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine.

The Northumberland National Park is a haven for wildlife with black grouse, ospreys and otters can be spotted along the the river.. Northumberland is home to more castles and fortified houses than any other region in England. Alwinton is a short drive to the thriving market towns of Rothbury, Alnwick and Morpeth. All three towns have an excellent range of amenities to stock up on provisions or dine out. Alnwick has a magnificent castle to explore and the Alnwick Gardens are great for a family outing.

Reiver Lodge is a great base for walkers, cyclists and stargazers… the area is Europe's largest 'Dark Skies' area.

 

Accommodation

Kitchen: electric oven with ceramic hob, fridge (with ice box), microwave.

Dining area: circular dining table and four chairs.

Living room: doors onto the verandah, sofa, arm chairs, wall mounted flat screen TV.

Bedroom 1: double bed.

Bedroom 2: adult size bunk beds.

Bathroom: freestanding roll top bath, WC, wash hand basin.

Garage/games room: the 3 lodges on site also share a communal room which provides laundry and additional storage facilities. Fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, pay phone.

Entertainment: wall mounted flat screen TV plus DVD player and CD player. books and games.

For families: cot and a highchair can be provided

Outside: private enclosed garden area, Verandah decked seating area, patio furniture, sun loungers

Parking: private parking for one car.

General: Although WiFi is supplied, connection cannot be guaranteed due to the location. Bed linen and towels are provided. Fuel and power.

Pets: Reiver Lodge welcomes one small/medium sized well behaved dog @ £25 per week or part thereof. Pets should not be left unattended in the property.

Please note: dogs and children should be supervised at all times due to the proximity to the river.
