The Lake District 1 hour away. The property is adjacent to the owners well-landscaped caravan park which has privately owned caravans only and therefore is very quiet. Shop 165 yards, pub 550 yards.

Overall very good. Disappointed at the location as so close to caravan park. Could not fault the lay out of the property, so many places to get away on you own for a quiet read, the owner was lovely and very helpful and the place was spotless. The village has lots of amenities in a beautiful part of the country. But if you are looking for somewhere with space around you, then this might not be for you. The master bedroom could do with a new shower. As the picture is taken from the back of the property I think it deceives you into thinking there is more space around the property than there is.,

Lovely holiday home. We were let down when another booking was cancelled. Found The School House further down Wear Dale. The photos don’t do the place justiceWarm welcome when we arrived from Valerie, showed us round. Excellent facilities, comfortable lounges (one with a bar and pool table where the younger family members spent most of their time. Another very comfortable where we chilled with wine. Well equipped kitchen, ample equipmentGarden with a brilliant summer house for the sunny evenings. Frosterley Inn friendly, more pubs and restaurants in Wolsingham and Stanhope. We used the buses a lotAll in all a great holiday place

Great holiday location, lovely spacious house, extremely well equipped, nice local pub and lots to do in the region. Host was very helpful and accommodating. Quiet area. Highly recommended.
