Softley view is located in Stanhope castles private grounds in the market town of Stanhope. The local high street is just outside of the castle with a large selection of shops, pubs and the Durham Dales visitor centre is opposite the entrance. top bath and walk in shower, with double sink area. Single spa bath in separate annex off the living area. This property welcomes two small dogs. The castle has a large communal lawn with picnic benches for guests to use
during their stay. Dogs may be walked on the lawn area and private woods on their leads.
Stanhope is an ancient market town set in the Wear Valley in the North Pennines aonb and 22 miles away from the city of Durham. Within the town you will find a good selection of pubs, specialist food stores, coffee shops, art galleries, a heated outdoor swimming pool and riverside walks, plus the town is on the C2C cycle route. Attractions within the area include Hamsterley Forest, Killhope Lead Mining Museum and Barnard Castle.

Really enjoyed our stay here watching The Races! Weâve been to a few of the Stanhope properties now and weâve never been disappointed! Any problems or any queries and the owners are amazing. Always go above and beyond for the people staying in their accommodation. Would definitely come back and would always recommend them to everyone else!

It is close to all of the local amenities that you will need and the property is well maintained. The only issues are that the bathroom shower area is very slippery and the rugs need to go. Other than those two issues the place is perfect.
