Wonderful stay – ideal for dogs and a peaceful breakThe host was extremely welcoming and made everything easy from start to finish. The location is great – peaceful and private, with neighbours far enough away that you don’t have to worry about noise or the dogs having a bit of fun. The enclosed garden was perfect for them to run and play safely, and they absolutely loved it. The house was clean, warm, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent base for working away or just relaxing, with plenty of lovely dog walks nearby. Highly recommended!

The accommodation was clean and tidy and everything was provided as it should be . The place was fine if you just wanted a base to go out exploring the area but I would not fancy it if you had some adverse weather. We enjoyed dry conditions all week, just as well because I would not fancy driving up that track and opening 3 gates if it was wet and windy. Neither would I have liked to drive along a track with an unprotected slope on one side in wet conditions. Definitely not a place for a disabled person. The television was too small and unresponsive to the controls,at times. We picked up the apples that had fallen from the tree.At the owner’s suggestion we took some fallers home and left the rest on a garden wall. For dog owners the garden needs to be much more secure,a young dog would find it too tempting to leap a low fence and run round in the sheep pasture.

What a fab location!Only sheep and rabbits for neighbours. The cottage was tired but comfy and cosy with a well equipped kitchen. Garden was secure for medium/large dogs- smaller may be able to get under the gate.Located up a hill, at the end of a dirt track, through 2 farm gates, half an hour walk to the village Co op. It is accessible for grocery deliveries. Would definitely stay again.
