Drover's Cottage is consistently praised for its cleanliness, tranquil location, and cosy comfort. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the hosts and the thoughtful touches, such as local produce on arrival. While some minor issues with facilities are mentioned, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Reviewers unanimously commend the cottage for its spotless condition, often using terms like 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean' to describe their experience.
The location is celebrated for its peace and quiet, with beautiful countryside views and proximity to local walks and amenities. A few comments about the boiler noise slightly affect the otherwise stellar feedback.
Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, with high-quality linen. Some mention the property being ideal for two, though a few note the sofa and boiler location as minor discomforts.
The cottage is well-equipped with good WiFi and heating, though some guests suggest improvements like a fridge freezer over a dishwasher and relocating the boiler. The presence of a noisy boiler in the bedroom is a recurring point.
Visitors frequently mention and appreciate the thoughtful gestures such as the provision of local bread, cheese, and milk. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Easy to find and has great access to good walks and the glorious countryside surrounding it. The local farmers and people are very friendly. With petrol and shops not too far away.

We found the small garden with chairs and table useful. The location is ideal - out in the countryside, yet within easy walking distance of Wolsingham with all its amenities. The welcoming gift was much appreciated. If I might make an observation, there is very limited space in the wardrobe due to the location of the gas boiler. This did not detract from us having a lovely short break. Thank you.
