Fabulous cottage. Everything we needed for a few days away. If you can tear yourself away from the cottage there are loads of places within easy driving distance to visit.

Slight communication issue at arrival that meant no access to the gated estate on arrival, in the dark. However, approached the property East Lodge further down road, who opened gate remotely. Property is perfect for those seeking a quiet and remote getaway. Walks are slightly limited at the estate as mostly penned livestock fields, but a short circular walk is signposted with abundant wildlife to observe. Access to Pennine walks is very good and local town (Barney!) is a two minute drive with all the amenities you'll need.Despite the arrival issue, this was more than we expected and we loved our stay!

If you want to get away from the rat race, then this is for you. We only saw one human in the two weeks we were there, just surrounded by nature.Everything you need to cook your meals. Close enough to all major supermarkets and a wide choice of places to visit if you wanted to.Really did not want to leave. We will be back :)
