It was ideally situated for exploring Barnard Castle and the surrounding area, we really enjoyed the river walks. There were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance which helped as we found the kitchen rather compact (although very well equipped). We had a very enjoyable stay - thank you.

Easy access, lovely and warm cottage. Extremely clean with all the facilities we could need. Nic and Tracy had kindly left a welcome pack which was very much appreciated and Nic phoned the morning after our arrival to make sure we were comfortable and ask if we needed anything. Would certainly recommend

It was in a great location, very quiet but a quick and easy walk into town, or down to the river for a walk. The cottage was comfortable and spotlessly clean, and well equipped (with sharp knives!) and we had a marvellous week. Only minor point to be aware of are that the duvets and pillows were feather, which may not suit everyone, and some coat hooks in the hallway would have been useful for wet coats. That said this didn't detract from a wonderful stay.
