The popular ancient market town of Barnard Castle is only three miles away with its own 12th Century Norman castle founded by Bernard de Balliol make this a fascinating place to visit. Being dog friendly was one of the main reasons we chose this cottage and it didn't disappoint. The whole family loved it. The village down the road and the walk along The Weir/Barnard Castle is lovely too. We can't wait to go back. The cottage had everything you could need and more, so well equipped and the hot tub was lovely. Would definitely recommend

Inside was clean with a bright decor and under floor heating The Barn is well equipped for your stay the owners had left a nice welcome pack and fresh eggs from the chickens they are on hand if you need them but not intrusive. The Hot tub was also a nice touch especially after a long day out I would highly recommend The Barn
