About this property

Enjoy this well presented and charming cottage with Rockland Broad on the doorstep, perfect for birdwatching and fishing in season

Located within the southern Broads National Park The Nursery is in a quiet spot making this the perfect base to relax, unwind and explore this pretty area. The 1760's thatched cottage oozes character and charm and comes complete with inglenook fireplace and an electric range cooker. Leaving no stone unturned the cottage has a lovely garden area with table, chairs and barbecue and also comes with a supply of child friendly toys for the younger ones within the party. The village of Rockland St Mary lies just a stones throw of the River Yare. The 125 miles of navigable waterways and open expanses of water (Broads) are rich in wildlife, history and stunning panoramic spots for picnics or simply to relax and 'take it all in'. There are cycle and footpaths aplenty in this area or, for those who wish to, there are plenty of boat yards from which to hire pleasure craft so you can explore afloat. For birdwatchers rspb Strumpshaw Fen is just across the river and makes for a pleasant visit. The sandy beaches of the east coast are a short journey away - Sea Palling and Waxham being among the favourites, not only with the locals but with seals who are often spotted 'bobbing' along in the sea at this stretch of coastline.
