This is a great location for nature lovers looking to relax and unwind but it is great for touring too with the stunning Norfolk Coastline just over six miles away and the gateway to the beautiful Broads under 20 miles away. Head to the pretty shingle beach at Weybourne, stroll along the Edwardian Prom and famous pier in Cromer, enjoy the wide sandy beach in Sheringham, or undertake a spot of crabbing on Blakeney Quay. Hire a day launch or join a tour and drift amongst stunning Norfolk Broadland scenery and then head to nearby BeWilderwood, a fun day out for families.
Add in history and nature galore with North Norfolk Heritage Railway, the Blickling and Holkham Estates along with the Muckleurgh and Thursford Collections, the latter with its Christmas Spectacular, Sheringham Park, Holt Country Park, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, and rspb Cley too and you’ll soon see why this is the perfect area for you hard-earned break. A fantastic, very quiet location for exploring North Norfolk. Holt, Norwich, Cromer, Sheringham.The downside is the property just needs a bit more care as it has lots of potential for a family break.On my arrival there were no basic essentials such as washing up liquid, cloths and scourer. there was 1 very thin toilet roll in each toilet and no hand soap. I rang the owner who brought fairy a cloth and scourer.I also informed the owner the oven was filthy but he said he didn't have oven cleaner. I presumed he would arrange for it to be cleaned ASAP, he didn't. With cobwebs in most corners and some huge spiders the cottage just needs a good hoover.When paying over £700 for 5 nights I expect a little effort. It's the first time I have stayed in a property where there has been no basics on arrival, including a few local treats.

It could be such a lovely cottage if more attention was paid to cleaning it between visits and making sure everything inside was fit for purpose and ready for visitors .If that was sorted then the cottage itself was great.
