Just a short stroll from the sandy beach at Bacton, Silverdale is a spacious, detached, bungalow which provides ideal holiday accommodation for any time of the year. The seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham are 12 miles away, or visit Wroxham 12 miles away, known as the capital of the Broads. A great day out for children is the outdoor adventure park at Horning called Bewilderwood. A must visit is the beach at Horsey Gap where you will see over a hundred seal pups between the months of December – February. Explore historic houses and NT parks. East Ruston Vicarage Gardens are just a short drive away, alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich, which offers cathedrals, theatres, a castle, museums and a great array of shops and cafes. Walking, cycling, bird watching and fishing are available from your doorstep. Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

We came home 2 days early for the following reasons:-1) The bed that was made up was very uncomfortable.2) The electrics in the accommodation needs to be completely replaced. 3) The oven and grill were so full of grease that it smoked badly and set all of the smoke alarms off in the accommodation.4) There were large notices everywhere warning us to NOT LET THE DOGS ON THE FURNITURE OR THE BEDS!!!! We found this very insulting and obviously the owners had decided to put ALL of their paying "guests" into the same BIN5) On the subject of WASTE BINS, there was yet another notice telling us to empty all of the bins into the dustbins before we left!!!!6) Do the owners want their accommodation cleaned for them ??7) The bathroom needs to be replaced (the sink is cracked) and all of the drains and plugholes could do with a good dose of bleach - including the separate 1950's WC.8) The very dangerous slippery laminate flooring in the lounge needed some rugs to safely walk on to avoid accidents.9) The garden is not very dog friendly with piles of old grass cuttings dotted around plus a rather large RAT visits the premises daily. Plus there was a lot of building and decorating noise from next door9) We left this property a LOT cleaner than we found it. Needless to say we will NOT be booking this property again.

An excellent property and so near the amazing Bacton beach. Could do with slightly bigger towels. Much bigger property than we expected. Comfy beds and clean.
