Sea fishing is available at Bacton beach, so be sure to bring your sea fishing rod. Wroxham, 13 miles and known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, has many riverside restaurants, cafés and shops. The waterways are best explored by boat and are rich in birdlife and wildlife. Daily river trips and boat hire is available.

Other National Trust properties include Felbrigg and Blickling Hall, alternatively, spend a day at Horsey beach where between December and February visitors can enjoy the chance to spot hundreds of grey seals and pups along the shoreline. The city of Norwich is just over 20 miles away and provides excellent shopping malls, market square, theatre, cinema complexes, museums and many pubs and restaurants. Beach 5 yards. Lovely cozy, well equipped, thoughtfully presented chalet. Excellent shower, comfy beds. Its right next to the sea. Beautiful sunrises & sunsets as Norfolk tends to be flat. Lots of lovely wildlife, birds, rabbits & deer. We came for the Macmillan Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike but used it as a mini break. On the beach was an excellent find. Its very dog friendly. It was very handy having the shark handheld vacuum. Recommended & we would stay again if we came back to Norfolk.
