Sea Palling is just 14 minutesâ drive with an excellent sandy beach backed by sand dunes, cafĂ©s, pub, and amusements. Excellent walking can be enjoyed from the doorstep with the Weavers Way running through the town of Stalham and providing great opportunities to explore on foot or by cycle.
Sutton Staithe is your gateway to the Norfolk Broads connecting onto the River Ant. Daily boat hire and river trips available to explore the miles of waterways. Excellent river fishing and local lake fishing is also available (seasonal, and licence required) and The Norfolk Broads Museum (seasonal opening). The Broads and three pubs are all within a mile. The village centre of Stalham (2œ miles) has cafĂ©s, bakery, supermarket, chemist, petrol station, beautician, bank and eateries. Wroxham, known as the Capital of the Broads, (9œ miles) with shops, supermarket, cafĂ©s and restaurants.
During the months of November and January parts of Horsey beach are protected whilst the grey seal colony give birth, a great opportunity to visit and see nature up close. For great family fun days visit Bewilderwood, a tree top adventure in Horning, Roarr Dinosaur Adventure at Lenwade, indoor soft play, slides, outdoor adventure and splash park and Wroxham Barns with a small petting farm and play park.
The historic city of Norwich (15 miles) is worth a visit, having two excellent indoor shopping malls, market square, cafĂ©s, restaurants, pubs, cathedral, theatre, and castle museum. The livelier seaside resort of Great Yarmouth (16 miles) has amusements, fun fair, pier, shops and restaurants.
