Sit and relax on the south-facing decked area, watching the boating activities; it is an ideal base from which to explore the famous waterways. The Broads are a haven for wildlife and a must for any bird-watching enthusiast. Fishing is available locally (in season) as well as daily boat hire. The Bure Valley Steam Railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham and for children, a great day out is Bewilderwood, an outdoor adventure park just 1½ miles away. National Trust properties Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are well worth visiting, or explore Norwich, 12 miles, with its cathedrals, museums, theatres, array of shops and cafes/restaurants. The coast is just 10 miles away with something for all the family. Beach 10 miles. Shops, pub and restaurant 600 yards.

Reading previous reviews we were not sure what to expect but we loved it. Space, location, views, stocked kitchen, tv and wifi provision were perfect and 4 adults and 2 children felt at home immediately. There may be some decoration that would benefit the property but with 2 kids and muddy shoes we didn't have to walk on eggshells and it was the perfect base for the perfect weekend. The price was extremely competitive and we would certainly go back.
