Resting on the captivating River Ant on the outskirts of the market town of Stalham is this terrace property, Heron Cottage. This spacious holiday accommodation is perfect for families in pursuit of a break to Norfolk Boards, where you will find a whole host of things to do to keep you busy and on-site features to entertain the whole family. Enter into the open-plan living room, where you can open the patio doors to filter in a cool breeze into the space and offer views of the river, creating a tranquil space to unwind. The kitchen comes with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and slimline dishwasher, as well as plenty of space for you to prepare a home-cooked meal or to pack a picnic for the next day's countryside adventure. Settle down for dinner with all of your loved ones around before sinking into the sofa and tuning into the TV or playing a board game brought from home. Once the evening has drown to a close, make your way upstairs to retire to one of the two bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which is served by a cloakroom and a ground-floor bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. Outside, table and chairs offer an alternative dining arrangement and overlooks the River Ant and the indoor swimming pool promises family fun and a good way to while a couple of hours during a rainy day. If you can tear yourself away from this wonderful base, a stone’s throw away is the Wayford Bridge Inn and a short walk will take you to the local shop. If you are feeling adventurous, hire a canoe from the nearby boat yard and explore the picturesque river. Alternatively, venture to Stalham where you will find a larger selection of amenities to explore or brush up on the local history by visiting the nearby attractions of the Museum of the Broads and the Radar Museum, as well as a number famous historic houses and beautiful gardens, including the East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden. Head to the glorious coastline and look forward to soaking up the sun at Waxham Beach or head further north to Cromer, home to a sandy beach, a golf course and the Amazona Zoo. All-in-all, Heron Cottage makes a wonderful getaway for an adventure with the whole family.

Here, you will find bistro style restaurant / coffee shop, a pub and restaurant, small grocery and newsagent and a petrol station. Attractions here include the boatyards which offers boat hire and canoe hire. From here, you can enjoy Museum of the Broads, the Radar Museum, famous historic houses and beautiful gardens, as well as Dilham Canal which is great for canoeing.
