Wroxham, 13 miles, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads National Park, has many riverside restaurants, cafés and shops. The waterways are best explored by boat and are rich in bird life and wildlife. Daily river trips and boat hire available. Avid gardeners will enjoy The Old Vicarage Gardens at East Runton and National Trust Sheringham Park, and for keen golfers, the Royal Cromer and Mundesley golf courses will not disappoint. Other National Trust properties include Felbrigg and Blickling Hall. The city of Norwich is just over 20 miles away and provides excellent shopping malls, market square, theatre, cinema complexes, museums and many pubs and restaurants. This cottage felt quite homely, as though it was someone's own holiday home, but in a good, cosy way. Not swish, but comfortable, quiet, plenty of parking. Short walk to beach and local shops, Lots to do in the surrounding area. We were there as a couple but would work well for a family.

Lovely compact bungalow with large garden and veranda. Lounge/dining room, separate kitchen fully equipped. Bathroom with large walk in shower (complete with non slip mat - much appreciated). One double and two single bedrooms. Only one problem the mattress on single bed needs replacing. We usually stay way out in the country but found Bacton a lovely village next to the sea and plenty of food outlets and pubs.
