Bittern Lodge was very spacious. There were some maintenance issues, the lodge could do with a visit from a handyman. Half the windows don't open for example - at least the bedroom ones do though so not a safety issue. And the dishwasher works but only on the lower rack!We didn’t bother raising issues to the owners - it feels like quite a hands off site anyway and we were happy to make do. We still felt like the lodge provided excellent value for money. It might be tired but its large and comfortable.

Initially we thought it looked ok, we booked a lake view lodge, and there is no view of any lake whatsoever, a heavy cupboard door came completely off the first time opening it, In the oven the trays were dirty and really rusty. We were going to use the washing machine but it made a terrible noise like the bearings had blown, so couldn't use it, took 3 days to get the owner to get the TV working,
