We loved our stay here but unfortunately found the place very unclean. The property had a basic clean prior to our arrival. We found food stains on the crockery and cutlery. The kitchen sides and table were very dirty and full of food. The cooker was disgusting inside. There is no where to store your clothes in either bedroom. The hoover is unsafe and has wires showing, the owners were aware of this as it has been taped up with electrical tape. The property was very peaceful and just a short walk to the beach. This property needs some updating and love. We would book again and hope to find it in a better condition next time.

After reading some of the reviews WE tried to cancel this accommodation to go somewhere else.BUT WE DIDN’TThe property didn't smell of dogs either wet or otherwise. The carpets are very clean one of the sofas had a couple of stains on it but where stains NOT Dirt as previously suggested. (fair ware and tear for a rental property)The main bed has a Firm mattress on it and in an excellent condition.Overall it's a very clean well presented property in a loverly location. There are lots of games for children to do and play with inside the property. And an enclosed garden for our 2 dogs to play in.My wife and I both agree we will be back along with our two german shepherds. And a great thank-you to the locals who made us feel so welcome

Very peaceful and quiet which is what we wanted, however any amenities are about 4 miles away navigated through VERY narrow lanes. The property itself was clean (ish) , the cooker hood could be cleaned along with the kitchen cupboards and one of the mirrors had some thing that had dripped down it. The sofas and chairs could also do with a wash. The garden also could benefit from the picnic table being sanded and repainted and the grass was riddled with dog mess, kindly left by irresponsible dog owners, I’d of expected this to of been checked. The door curtains are in much need of replacing along with the blinds in the bedroom. The blind is held in place by a curtain pole on the velux window, this in turn lets light flood in from 4am so eye mask is a must. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever had to lay on, hard, with no give. It also gets extremely hot in there so a fan would have been nice. There are marks on the walls in various places and an obvious damp problem. The bathroom extractor fan doesn’t operate and could also benefit from a clean. The towels provided are small so I’d take your own. There were a few tea and coffee sachets along with salt and pepper pots, however the pots were empty so didn’t see the point in these. We also found that the first aid kit was inadequate, only containing 1 rolled up bandage and some old paracetamol. This should be addressed seeings as you’re miles from any medical facility. Again I would of expected better. If you need anything delivered to the address, like we did, good luck. Despite giving w3w location no one seemed able to find it, even the takeaway guy had trouble and he was local! If you’re looking for peace and quiet and just want a base then this is the place for you. For us, it was over priced for the property and instead you’re paying for the close proximity of the beach. The welcome card states ,we strive to offer a 5* experience, but I’m afraid my 3* star review is accurate.
