Tucked away peacefully in the heart of the charming coastal village of East Runton, this hidden gem is a less than five minute stroll from the village amenities and stunning Blue Flag sandy beach, popular all year round with surfers, swimmers, bodyboarders, fossil hunters and walkers.
Dating back to the 1850s, Flint Barn is located in a small, exclusive cul-de-sac of high quality barn conversions. In 2022 the barn was sympathetically updated further to create a contemporary, relaxing and comfortable home-from-home for guests to enjoy. Every detail has been thought of to ensure you have a hassle-free, memorable Norfolk experience. On entering the barn you are enveloped in a spacious reception hall featuring an ornamental fireplace. A supremely well-equipped fitted country kitchen will keep enthusiastic cooks happy. You are sure to opt for whipping up a delicious meal at home after being tempted by the vast array of local produce available. You can choose to gather in the adjacent dining room or, on sunnier days, dine al fresco from the charcoal barbecue in the large south-facing sun trap patio at the back of the barn. The vaulted living room is flooded with light from a stunning full-size picture window - a lovely space to nestle down after a thrilling day of exploring, walking and filling your lungs with fresh sea air. When the time comes to retire upstairs, you will find two inviting bedrooms; a king-size bedroom and twin bedroom. The bedrooms are served by a smart fully tiled bathroom offering both bath and shower options. An inviting snug is also located on this floor, the perfect quiet corner to read, watch television, study or work - if you must!
Flint Barn provides the ideal base for families, couples and friends to enjoy at any time of year. The traditional seaside town of Cromer is a lovely 20 minute walk or short car ride to the east. Boasting a world-famous pier, Lifeboat Station, and independent shops, it's a must-see. Sheringham, home to the Poppy Line steam train and quaint high street, is three miles to the west. Both places can be reached on foot, via the Blue Flag beach or coastal path, by car or on the coast hopper bus. Keen walkers will enjoy a ramble along the coastal path to Sheringham, taking in stunning views from Beeston Bump. Food-lovers are spoilt for choice as Norfolk's finest eateries are situated close by; the village pub The White Horse, Rocky Bottoms, Upstairs at Number 1, and the outstanding Gunton Arms and Suffield Arms.
