Briston and nearby Melton Constable offer lots of great local amenities including conveniences shops, takeaways and a great local foodie pub too, but venture a little further and you will find the area is brimming with good places to eat and drink whatever your tastes or pockets. Start your time here by pottering around the much sought-after Georgian town of Holt, which is simply packed with artisan and boutique cafe’s, pubs, restaurants and shops.

The charming market towns of Aylsham, Fakenham and Reepham are also within easy reach. Beach lovers should make time to visit Wells-next-the-Sea with its stunning quay and wide, sandy beach with painted beach huts and Blakeney, home to England’s largest colony of Grey Seals. Alternatively, head to Cromer, which is packed with seaside attractions including its famous pier where you can enjoy a spot of lunch and indulge in some people watching. In fact, this part of Norfolk is surrounded with beautiful beaches, sweeping clay, salt marshes and picturesque quays, all ready and waiting for you to explore. Another Norfolk highlight, the Broads, lie just over half an hour away. Why not join a boat charter or hire your own day launch?
