Guests say

Bell House Stables offers a peaceful rural retreat with comfortable beds, quality kitchen fittings, and a lovely patio area. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, accessibility, and proximity to the coast and local attractions. While many found the property clean and well-equipped, some noted inconsistencies in cleaning standards and minor maintenance issues. The welcome touches and quiet surroundings are highlights, though occasional Wi-Fi issues and parking constraints were mentioned. Overall, the property provides a relaxing and enjoyable stay with thoughtful amenities.

Reviews are mixed, with several guests praising the property as clean and comfortable, while others reported issues such as cobwebs, dust, and insufficient cleaning between stays. Some found bathrooms and floors not up to standard, though others found the property spotless. The inconsistency in cleaning is the main concern.

The rural, quiet setting is highly valued, with easy access to the coast, Broads, and Norwich. Guests enjoyed the peacefulness and found the location ideal for exploring Norfolk, though parking can be tight when the main house is occupied.

Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, quality linen, and a cosy atmosphere. The property is accessible and warm, with good seating and a pleasant outdoor space. Some noted the living area may be small for larger groups, but overall comfort is a strong point.

The property is well-equipped with modern kitchen appliances, a large fridge freezer, and good storage. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as poor lighting, underfloor heating complexity, and minor layout inconveniences. The lack of towel rails and extractor fans was also mentioned.

Some guests received welcome gifts such as wine and chocolates, which were appreciated, but these are not guaranteed. The property is generally well-appointed with thoughtful touches, though communication from the owners was occasionally lacking.

This makes this a great escape for couples travelling together, two or three families wanting to relax with company or indeed three generations planning an escape to remember. There is much to love about this house, not least of all the Jacuzzi in the private garden, which is the largest one available and offers somewhere special to relax. The outside is just as special with two and a half acres of private land featuring a small orchard, a wild flower garden, croquet, boules and other outside games. This has been the owner’s own much-loved family home and it shows. It is lived-in luxury, which means that everything is set up for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Set within the grounds but still enjoying a degree of privacy, The Stables at Bell House is a brand new renovation, created by the owners and, like Bell House it offers feature beds. Sleeping four, both the bedrooms are en-suite and one even has a spa bath. It also offers open-plan living and outside you will find an Indian sandstone patio. In fact, you can be sure that no expense has been spared to make this the perfect escape for two couples of a small family. You will be tempted to stay onsite, socialise or relax and unwind but should you venture out you will find yourself within easy reach of the stunning Norfolk Coastline, the famous Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich and so much history and wildlife too. The bedrooms were reasonably sized and comfortable but weren't as spotless as you would expect e.g. dust behind furniture and cobwebs freely visible. Living space was fine for two but would have been too small for 4 people e.g. just a 2-seater sofa and dining chairs. Also, thought there should have been more crockery as we had a total of 6 of everything which wouldn't go far with 4 people.

No towel rails, not windows in bathrooms or radiators or working extractor fans. No draining board in kitchen. Poor lighting. Over complicated difficult 3 area underfloor heating. Cobwebs. Shower floor that never dries out through the week, musty smell. Dishwasher not next to the sink. TV way to large for the room and too high on wall. Rubbish WiFi, especially when the main house occupants are at home (is Wifi shared?) not good when they are streaming.

Bell house stables is a modern conversion. It is very comfortable, very accessible especially for anyone with limited mobility. A jacuzzi bath in the main bedroom and a shower in the other bathroom caters for everyone.
