Guests say

Hollyhedge Cottage is a well-equipped, cosy property with a beautiful garden, ideal for dog owners and those seeking a peaceful retreat. Its location is convenient for exploring North Norfolk, and the cottage's character and comfort have been appreciated by many guests. While some have noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority reflect positively on their stay.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, there were a few reports of inadequate cleaning, such as a full hoover, crumbs, and personal items left behind by previous guests. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The cottage is praised for its quiet village setting and proximity to North Norfolk's attractions. Guests enjoyed the local amenities and found it an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside. The location contributed positively to the overall experience.

Many guests found the cottage cosy and comfortable, with a lovely garden and summer house. However, taller guests mentioned discomfort with low ceilings and the bed size, and some found the stairs steep. Comfort levels were generally high, with a few specific concerns.

The property is well-stocked with kitchenware and offers a secure garden. Some guests highlighted issues with dated appliances, steep stairs, and a need for maintenance, such as fixing the shower holder. Overall, facilities met guests' needs but could benefit from updates.

While many guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and garden, there were no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the host. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on the reviews provided.

The owners had thought of our every need (when we arrived the fire was all stacked up, we just had to light it). Highly recommend!

All was as advertised. We enjoyed our time there. A couple of things we think you might be interested in hearing, that would improve the stay for future guests. 1. There was a lot of dog hair on the carpets. We do understand that with pet friendly places this can happen, but a good pet hair vacuum can pick it up. 2. A newer TV, perhaps a smart TV that works through the WiFi. They come with access to all the apps these days. 3. The shower-head’s nozzles were a little blocked. 4. Socks on the stairs were a little tricky, maybe some carpet on them? I don’t really know of a solution, and I didn’t bring slippers with me which would have helped. 5. The information you left took us awhile to find. Could you leave it ready on the coffee table or dining room table? Thanks so much!! N&K

September was chilly and the radiator in the second upstairs bedroom did not work. Otherwise excellent holiday and Sue the owner was most helpful. Many thank.
