About this property

Sheringham 2.6 miles. Resting on the outskirts of the National Trust owned Sheringham Park is this lovely semi-detached cottage. Joined to the owner's home, The Hermitage is a charming converted barn for a small family or group of friends to explore the North Norfolk coast. Be welcomed into the dwelling from a quiet, rural road, surrounded by peaceful fields in an idyllic setting. Spend your evenings cuddled up in front of the roaring woodburning stove in the spacious living/dining room, joining together for meals on the table, or relaxing on one of the plush sofas in front of the TV. Stepping through the property, there's an amply-equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals throughout your stay, as well as a bright conservatory-style room to enjoy a moment of quiet. Make use of your own private patio for drinks out in the sun, overlooking quaint fruit trees and friendly chickens on the lawn area. Withdraw to the first floor which boasts two inviting double bedrooms; both are beautifully presented with plenty of storage, with one of the rooms benefiting from a daybed. Prepare for your day in style in the family bathroom, taking your pick between a sumptuous bubble bath, or a brisk morning rinse in the separate walk-in shower. Take a short stroll over to The Wheatsheaf West Beckham, a welcoming local pub where you can tuck in to some delicious pub grub alongside a refreshing pint of ale, before exploring the surrounding village over to the verdant Sheringham Park. More amenities await over in the bustling fishing village of Sheringham, home to an abundance of shopping facilities, eateries and tea rooms, as well as the sandy shores of Sheringham Beach, the 'Little Theatre', Sheringham Museum, a model boating lake and amusement arcades, offering something for all the family. Hop on board for a trip on the North Norfolk railway line, a unique heritage steam railway which takes you over to the Georgian town of Holt alongside coastal views. Local attractions for fun days out include Amazona Zoo, Cromer Museum, Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, Sandringham Estate, and the Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve, whilst the village of Holkham boasts the magnificent Holkham Hall and relaxing golden sands at Holkham Beach. Alternatively, visit the ancient ruins of Creake Abbey, meander around the 700-acres of Pensthorpe Natural Park, or why not travel over to Hunstanton, a lively seaside resort which is home to the rural Hunstanton Cliffs and a SEA LIFE centre. Take a trip to the nearby north Norfolk fishing villages of Blakeney, Cley and Weybourne which offer excellent walks, refreshments and outstanding views across the marshes, which is a haven for birds and wildlife. Choose The Hermitage as your new home away from home.

The quaint fishing village of Sheringham rests on the North Norfolk coast, a popular resort boasting a sandy beach, lively promenade, a theatre, a model boating lake, and a range of shops, pubs, restaurants, cafés and arcades. The coastal village of Mundesley and town of Cromer are both popular hotspots whilst the city of Norwich rests further afield, making Sheringham an ideal base to explore the beauty of Norfolk.

Not good if the car is covered in dirt I removed most of it. This is out of the owner’s hands! No blame there! ! This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. So peasant and quiet’ we wish them well. Mark @ Joan
