Just a few miles from the glorious Norfolk coastline, the thriving market town of Holt makes an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. Holt is a pretty Georgian town, home to many historic buildings and an excellent range of pubs, restaurants, independent shops and art galleries. The Holt Country Park offers 100 acres of woodland to explore. You can take a trip on the North Norfolk Railway, discover the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle or visit Letheringsett, Norfolk s only working watermill. There are numerous pretty towns and villages to visit including Fakenham and Walsingham, or you could head to coastal spots such as Wells next the Sea and Brancaster. You could also visit the Holkham Estate, Pensthorpe Natural Park and rspb Titchwell.
