The woodpecker barn was a lovely place to stay. Spacious, clean & in a perfect setting close to Fakenham. A welcome bottle of wine & nibbles too was a nice touch. Spacious for our dog too, the garden & separate courtyard being enclosed were exactly what we needed for him. Would have been good to know that none of the bedrooms were dog friendly before booking. It was a shame the barn didn't have any personal touches. No details of walks around the farm, where we could & couldn't go. Or walks around the local area would have been so helpful. Loads of leaflets about places to visit were in a draw in the living room. It would have been nice to see how the buildings were converted to holiday lets. The last place we stayed had photos, maps etc on the wall, just so interesting. The Woodpecker barn would have then been superb.

Perfect base for exploring the North Norfolk Coast. Excellent spacious accomodation. Really nice area. Could have done with a local post office and pub - but there was an excellent taxi service for evenings when no one wanted to drive :-)
