About this Holiday Cottage

Enjoy comfort, luxury and a guilt-free, carbon-neutral holiday with a stay at Wagtail Cottage in Cranmer. It's one of our impressive Cranmer Country Cottages set in 175 acres of grounds, and it's within easy reach of soft, golden beaches and major family attractions. The kids will love ball games and kite-flying in our large, fenced paddock, and teenagers can enjoy games of pool, darts and table tennis in the games room. You'll want to try out our heated indoor swimming pool, and you're also welcome to hire bikes, delivered to your door, or enjoy a game of tennis on our communal courts. 

Inside

There's a modern bathroom with both shower and bath facilities, and the kitchen includes appliances such as a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a cooker and a microwave. Dining facilities are provided, and the lounge includes a TV, a DVD player and a music system with an iPod dock. You'll have access to 24-hour laundry facilities, and to a private garden including outdoor furniture and a BBQ. We also provide books, games and DVDs to borrow from the games room.

Wagtail Cottage is a fantastic property sleeping four, with one king-sized bedroom and one twin bedroom.  

Outside

Guests can enjoy relaxing in the outdoor seating area and there is off road parking provided. 

Other Things to Note

Wagtail Cottage is a perfect place to spend time with the family, and to make your stay as restful as possible we've thought of everything you could possibly need. Let us know if you'd like to borrow a highchair, cot, changing mat or baby bath, or if you'd like to make use of a blender, a steriliser or children's utensils. We offer a babysitting service if you'd like some time to yourself, and we can provide baby monitors to put your mind at rest. We also provide nightlights if required to ward off those imaginary friends and give your kids a great night's sleep.

We provide a free wireless internet connection within the cottage, and you'll have use of off-road parking facilities.

Hampers of food, and frozen homemade meals, are available for delivery, and we can provide tennis tuition and swimming lessons with advance notice. Please call us if you'd like to learn more, or book a stay. 

Availability

The cottage is available for short breaks of three nights or more during off peak times. Please note that we do not accept pets in this cottage.  Wagtail can be booked alongside one of its eight neighbours to provide accommodation for larger families/ groups.

Around and About

Local beaches can be found within a fifteen minute drive of our cottages and there are plenty of local family attractions nearby. The surrounding area is also ideal for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers. 

Directions

from THE west

Head towards King's Lynn via the A17, A47 or A10.

Take the A149 and then the A148 heading east until a couple of miles from Fakenham.

Turn left at a signpost, marked 'The Creakes', about half a mile east of Dunton Patch, the road will bring you right to Cranmer Country Cottages.

If you miss this turning, 1 mile further east turn left onto the B1355, continue for nearly 2 miles, then fork left on the by road to Dunton until you reach Cranmer Country Cottages.

 

from THE south

Approach from the A11 and A1065 through Brandon and Swaffham as far as the A148 roundabout west of Fakenham.

Turn left onto the A148 and then take the first right B1355, continue for nearly 2 miles, then fork left on the by road to Dunton until you reach Cranmer Country Cottages.

 

from THE east

Approach Fakenham via the A1067 or the A148.

Take the northern by pass around Fakenham to the western roundabout (junction with the A1065)

Turn right, keeping on the A148, and then take the first right B1355, continue for nearly 2 miles,

then fork left on the by road to Dunton until you reach Cranmer Country Cottages.
