Situated in a quiet position overlooking grazed meadowland, quite often the flight path of the resident barn owl, The Old Saddlery is a short distance from the main 16th-century Colkirk Hall farmhouse, rumoured to play host to members of the Gun Powder Plot. The property dates back to the mid-1700s, formally a cart shed and stables and latterly a saddlery through until the mid-1980s when it was remodelled into the Old Saddlery. You will find the first floor situated within the eaves of the property containing bedroom three, along with a bathroom. Great care was taken to preserve some original features such as the beams, but to provide all the modern conveniences needed for a great stay. With two bathrooms, one of which features a free-standing bath, and a cosy living area with a wood burner, there are really lots of reasons to choose this cottage for your holiday.

Rea lly appreciated the peace and quiet surroundings, despite location on edge of farm. The cottage was well supplied with comfortable seating . The main point I would make is the headroom upstairs would not be ideal for anyone over 5.8 tall.

Cobwebs everywhere.on arrival television screen covered in splashes fron dog paws. Washing up bowl old ,horrible looking rusty toilet brush.Mould on bathroom windows. No wardrobes in upstairs bedroom which would have liked to use. No fan or light over mirror in bathroom.Only 1 toilet roll ,no pedal bin bags. Can only say this us down to the cleaners. The beds were comfortable and very clean, also plenty of utensils in kitchen, also spotless. I have taken video of mould on windows . Shame because could be made very inviting, but we would definitely not return
