About this Holiday Cottage

Family holidays don't get much better than a stay at Garden House, Cranmer Country Cottages. Our beautiful self-catering holiday home offers eco-friendly modern luxury, and it's the perfect place to spend a short break or lengthy holiday with the kids. Enjoy our peaceful surroundings not far from the coast, and take advantage of 175 acres of grounds and everything we've included within them. You'll be able to enjoy games of tennis, spend time in the well-equipped games room or take a dip in our heated indoor pool, and it'll all be guilt-free thanks to our efforts to help the environment. 

Inside

The living area is flooded with light and features doors which can be opened up onto the terrace. There is a large dining area seating eight, two large leather sofas, a widescreen TV, DVD player and iPod dock. The open plan kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, cooker and a washing machine can be found in the boot room.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The bedrooms at Garden House are presented as a king size bedroom with terrace access and ensuite bathroom with shower. There is also a second double bedroom with room for a travel cot and which shares access to the family bathroom with the twin bedroom.

Outside

The private terrace enjoys lovely country views and off road parking facilities are provided. 

Other Things to Note

During your stay at Garden House you're very welcome to explore our grounds and enjoy ball games and kite flying in our fenced paddock. We can offer a cycle hire service with bikes delivered to your door, and the cottage comes with a wireless internet connection for use with your own laptop.

For guests with young children we're able to offer a highchair, travel cot, steriliser, blender, baby bath, changing mat and baby monitors. We've included children's utensils in the kitchen, and we can provide night lights if they're needed. We offer a babysitting service by arrangement, giving you time to yourself, and we can provide tennis and swimming tuition with enough notice.

For groups of six, we're able to offer a bespoke catering service, or you can order hampers or frozen homemade meals to make life easy. We also offer private parking spaces on site.  

Availability

Garden House is available for short breaks of three nights or more during off peak times and can be booked alongside its neighbour, Avocet, to accommodate families of up to twelve people. Pets are not accepted in this cottage.

Around and About

Local beaches can be found just a fifteen minute drive from our cottages and the surrounding area is perfect for walking and cycling. The family also has plenty of family attractions nearby such as Bewilderwood, the high ropes adventure course at Weasenham and Hunstanton Aquarium.

Directions

from THE west

Head towards King's Lynn via the A17, A47 or A10.

Take the A149 and then the A148 heading east until a couple of miles from Fakenham.

Turn left at a signpost, marked 'The Creakes', about half a mile east of Dunton Patch, the road will bring you right to Cranmer Country Cottages.

If you miss this turning, 1 mile further east turn left onto the B1355, continue for nearly 2 miles, then fork left on the by road to Dunton until you reach Cranmer Country Cottages.

 

from THE south

Approach from the A11 and A1065 through Brandon and Swaffham as far as the A148 roundabout west of Fakenham.

Turn left onto the A148 and then take the first right B1355, continue for nearly 2 miles, then fork left on the by road to Dunton until you reach Cranmer Country Cottages.

 

from THE east

Approach Fakenham via the A1067 or the A148.

Take the northern by pass around Fakenham to the western roundabout (junction with the A1065)

Turn right, keeping on the A148, and then take the first right B1355, continue for nearly 2 miles,

then fork left on the by road to Dunton until you reach Cranmer Country Cottages.
