Or head into the pretty Georgian town of Holt (3 miles) to admire elegant architecture, browse independent shops and galleries, and relax in charming cafes. Alternatively, spend a beautiful afternoon discovering the 17th-century country house and parklands at Felbrigg Hall (10 miles). Check out its impressive library, which has over 4,000 books. Or head to the Holt station of the North Norfolk Railway (2.5 miles) to climb aboard a restored steam and diesel train to Sheringham.
