To the rear of the cottage you will find a lovely enclosed garden, a lovely place to sit and relax after a busy day exploring the countryside or after a sunny day at the beach. The splendid ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle are a short walk through the village and well worth a visit. Baconsthorpe is a small, sleepy and pretty village just three miles from the picturesque Georgian market town of Holt with its selection of galleries, restaurants and independent shops. Surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Holt ridge, it is an ideal place to explore and is great for cycling, walking and birdwatching. The coast is only five miles away and the choice is quite diverse from the sandy beaches of Cromer and Sheringham to the shingle of Salthouse and the marshes of Blakeney and Cley.
