This tranquil spot boasts footpath walks on the owners’ 280-acre arable farm, an undercover courtyard and an indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub. Ely, 6 miles, occupying the largest island in the Fens, has a history dating back to Hereward the Wake and later, Oliver Cromwell. Its superb 11th century cathedral is surrounded by monastic buildings, medieval gateways and narrow streets leading down to the marina and river walks. King’s Lynn and Cambridge are easily accessible. Shops, riverside inns and restaurants at Littleport, 3 miles. . Peaceful location with lots of attention to detail for a family. Warm and cosy. Well appointed kitchen and everything was clean and fully functional. Beds were good size and mattresses comfortable and firm, not worn out at the end of the season as we have had in other properties. Hosts very friendly. We are thinking that we might book again in the future as it is a good base to explore North Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

The cottage was lovely and clean with everything we needed for our stay including towels. The beds were made up on our arrival-which were all really comfortable in good sized bedrooms. Parking was right next to the cottage and plenty of outdoor space to use (had we not come in February during a hurricane!!) The swimming pool was a 30 second walk from the cottage and was well used by us. As there are only 3 cottages we had the pool to ourselves all the times we went. The host was helpful and very pleasant when we spoke to her. Was a lovely secluded space to spend time together and only a short drive into Ely.

The accommodation was much large than the pictures on the website reflect. Super safe for young children to run around and be free. Must be a couple of miles from any main roads.
