King's Lynn 8.7 miles. This character lodge rests in a charming woodland setting on the Pentney Lakes Estate, amidst the Norfolk countryside. Approached via main and then narrow, rural country roads leading to the estate, The Lodge offers a wonderful base for families looking for some quiet time away. Step into the open-plan living space and immediately feel welcomed with the homely features, offering ample seating with a TV and Sky so you can catch up on your favourite shows after a long day. The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking; expect to find an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and even a washing machine so you can easily do the laundry! Head upstairs and discover the mezzanine games room, with a pool table and futsal table providing hours of entertainment. As you look to unwind, there are three bedrooms to choose from; on the ground floor there is a twin and single, whilst upstairs offers a delightful, king-size room with sloped ceilings. Begin the morning with a quick rinse in the shower or take your time and enjoy a shower, before preparing a light breakfast and tackling the day. To the outside is a wonderful decking, perfect for enjoying a moment on the furniture and why not take a dip in the hot tub? This fabulous accommodation rests within Pentney Lakes, spanning over 300 acres of privately managed grounds, a fishing lake, and a waterski lake to explore, ideal for afternoon strolls alongside tranquil woodland and wildlife. Take a gentle stroll over to the on-site shop, or head to the on-site club house and cafe, which is open six days a week, home to competitive games such as darts and pool; a perfect spot to unwind after an adventurous day with a refreshing beverage. Hop in the car and head to King’s Lynn, a living town with a wealth of shops for home-cooking essentials or browse a range of pubs and restaurants for a hearty meal. Other attractions worth mentioning include venues for live music and arts, including The Corn Exchange theatre and cinema, the Fermoy Arts Centre, and several museums, whilst Sandringham, Hunstanton, Holkham,

Wells, next the sea, are a short drive away. You'll also find a weekly traditional market at Swaffham and Downham Market. The Lodge offers a charming abode, whatever time of year.

On the River Great Ouse sits the famous mediaeval port of King's Lynn, which dates to the 12th century. The town is a treasure mine for history buffs, with large merchant homes, art galleries, museums, and the Custom House, a Grade I listed edifice that was constructed in 1683 by Henry Bell. The town still has its original winding streets and lanes, and it has good shopping options, including a mix of major chains and specialty stores, as well as a number of bars and eateries. The West Norfolk shoreline is easily accessible by car, and most of the surrounding Norfolk countryside has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Particularly Hunstanton is well known for its stunning beaches and sunsets. A number of locations along the coast provide boat excursions, and the Norfolk Coast Cycleway connects King's Lynn with Cromer. A short drive away is Sandringham, the magnificent rural residence of The Queen, and it is highly recommended that you stop by the spectacular Visitor Center there.
