The open-plan sitting area with its exposed beams and rafters is stylishly furnished and uniquely decorated with an over-sized sofa for guests to relax on, and the added benefit of a contemporary wood burning stove to warm you up on those cooler evenings after a long day out exploring the local area. The hand crafted kitchen has been well-equipped with Smeg appliances throughout, providing you with all you will need to prepare breakfast, lunch and a delicious supper.
Stairs lead up from beyond the kitchen area to the first floor, where the large luxurious bedroom suite awaits. The super-king size bed has been made to order, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. A spacious en-suite bathroom features double, bespoke wash basins, a large walk-in shower and a beautiful, raised free-standing copper bath to enjoy a relaxing soak whilst enjoying the view. The owners really have thought of everything, even supplying guests with eco/vegan friendly bathrobes and towels.
Outside, beautiful wildflower meadows surround the barn with timber walkways through the landscaped garden, and a cart shed to park your cars in. Guests will enjoy relaxing on the private terrace, which has ample seating and includes a large covered, wood-fired hot tub and a barbecue.

What a fantastic place!! The quality and attention to detail is amazing...this place definitely has the wow factor! We stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and from the moment we opened the door our jaws dropped...the photos look great but they honestly don't do this place justice. It's just idyllic! The hosts are lovely and so friendly and welcoming! They also really went the extra mile with a very special treat on our last night.Such a kind and thoughtful thing to do for us...we were blown away with this generosity, thank you! If you want to relax in comfort with peace and privacy you'll struggle to find a better place! I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone...you will not be disappointed

The Old School House was such an amazing place to stay! Fatima was incredibly welcoming as a host and has created a simply amazing property in an idyllic location. The open plan living, the amount of space, the style, the furniture, the amenities and all the added extra touches (including sustainable bathroom toiletries) made the old school house such an incredibly 'away from it all' experience that the weather could not spoil... My wife and I had such a relaxing time and we would highly recommend this beautiful holiday retreat!
