Guests say

Sweet Pea Cottage is a charming property praised for its excellent location and homely feel. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities, the enclosed garden for pets, and the warmth provided by a new boiler. While the cottage's authenticity and cleanliness are noted, some guests suggest that the bathroom requires modernisation and the property could benefit from a deeper clean and maintenance.

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it clean and tidy, while others noted issues such as uncleaned floors, dirty cups, and a filthy oven. The variance in experiences suggests room for improvement in ensuring consistent cleanliness standards.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, with easy access to local amenities, pubs, and the beach. The village setting and proximity to Hunstanton are appreciated, making it a great base for exploring the area.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and good heating. However, some guests mentioned issues with the beds and pillows, suggesting that while the cottage is generally comfortable, there is room for improvement in the sleeping arrangements.

Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and good heating, but several reviews highlight the need for bathroom refurbishment and better maintenance of appliances. The presence of a washing machine is noted, but issues with its accessibility and operation are mentioned.

There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While some guests mention the lack of welcome gifts such as tea bags, which are common in other cottages, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Having stayed for one week in the cottage, we found it in an excellent position for the beach and bus services etc. we found the local pubs poor with the exception of the sports and social club which was excellent although not serving food the week we were there. The cottage was cosy and warm with brilliant central heating. Fairly comfortable. Free Wi-Fi, well equipped kitchen. but the oven was disgustingly filthy with old fat in the bottom and grill pan very dirty with old food left. Going upstairs the bannister was dirty and my wife had to clean it, also the stairs were very difficult to climb and descend even though we were fairly able bodied. The bathroom as previous comments from at least two years previous was very poor. The toilet seat was broken, the bath taps and shower were beyond repair and the seal around the bath needed replacing. In fact the whole bathroom required a full refurbish. Maybe replace the bath with a shower. Having said all the adverse comments, with a little updating the cottage would be a little gem and would definitely recommend.

All cups very badly stained and needed thorough cleaning before use. Cooker Hood broken, toilet seat broken, Bathroom bath tap needs attention, really the bathroom needs updating. Front door sticking and was hard t9 open and close. Apart from these things that need attention we would visit Sweet Pea again.

A lovely, quaint cottage cottage located near the centre of Heacham, very handy for the local 'take away', which are excellent and the local pub, The Fox and Hounds, which does tasty meals at lunchtime and evenings. I felt there should have more of the basics in the cottage, i.e. there was no washing up liquid and only one tea towel, while the wall covering around the bath/shower could do with being replace with possibly tiles/plastic sheeting, as the base of the existing wooden panelling looked mouldy, also the toilet seat was a bit loose.
