Just ten minutes away by car, the award-winning Duck Inn in Stanhoe is not to be missed, and nine minutes in the other direction, Sculthorpe Mill serves excellent food and local craft beers and is near to Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve. If you're feeling energetic then why not leave the car behind and cycle or walk to enjoy the rural views. The market town of Fakenham has a chocolate factory, glass blowing attraction, fabulous Thursday markets and Fakenham Racecourse, one of the finest rural national hunt courses. A couple of miles down the road, the award-winning Pensthorpe Natural Park is home to Europe's finest collection of endangered and exotic water birds.
