About this property

Chill-out in and relax in this eco-friendly bell-topped gypsy caravan and adjoining yurt with two double beds in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside, close to the beautiful Houghton village. Bring the children and even your horse which can be stabled and put out to graze in this lovely spot! There is plenty of space for you to relax outside, ride, or for the children to run and explore.

This away-from-it-all unique back-to-nature camping experience is a real treat in a beautifully quiet and rural spot.

Wake-up every day to pretty views over the fields surrounded by horses, bird song and the sound of the bees humming. Located on the same site as Foxglove and Hollyhock which Norfolk Hideaways also market, you will truly feel that you have left the burdens of life behind when you awake in this tranquil spot. If you are bigger group, why not rent all three properties together and enjoy a unique and very special location surrounded by your loved ones!

Designed for a couple wanting to upgrade from the usual camping experience or a young family who are keen for adventure, there are two sleeping experiences; in the bell-topped gypsy caravan and yurt. There are two further pods where you will find the facilities to cook and a shower and an eco-friendly WC in a separate shed.

The owners have gone to great efforts to make the experience comfortable, yet still maintain the eco-friendly nature of the concept. Within the carvan there is a double bed, camping lights and small yet very efficient log burning stove. Next door in the yurt you will find a double bed, comfortable sofa, tables, camping lights. Bedding is provided but please bring your own towels. The owners are happy to provide additional beds and bedding if required if a family would prefer to sleep together in the yurt (please request upon booking) although the accommodation will only sleep 4 in total.

Cook supper on the BBQ, toast marshmallows over the fire and warm your toes around the fire, before you snuggle down for a night of undisturbed sleep. Watch the sun go down with a glass of wine in hand, then stargaze the black North Norfolk night skies after the sun has bid the day goodbye. If you would prefer not to cook, there is a good local pub a short drive away!

Spend days walking, cycling or riding your horse around the quiet North Norfolk lanes which surround Darling Buds, or head to the beautiful North Norfolk coast which is close by. This perfect away-from-it-all experience can never be described as luxury, but it is unique and a very different staycation in a wonderful spot Less than 20 minutes’ drive from the award-winning Holkham and Holme-next-the-Sea beaches, where you can ride your horse anytime of the day!

For your horse, there is a sizeable plot for your to graze and a horse stable, which sits amongst others close to the owners house. The five acre plot of land provides post and railed grazing.

This location is perfect if you are attending the Burnham Market Horse Trials or Houghton Horse Trials
