A long journey calls for rest, so follow the corridor through to the snug sitting room, where you can look forward to flicking on the TV and cuddling up amongst the crackle of the woodburning stove. Castle Acre is a large conservation village settled in west Norfolk, decorated with pretty red brick and flint faced cottages and boasting a historical past. The village has a Norman castle with earthworks, a church and a Cluniac Prior. Castle Acre offers all of the essentials, with quaint tea rooms, two traditional pubs and a village store, whilst Swaffham rests five miles away, offering a larger selection of amenities and attractions.
