What a beautiful, rustic, cosy cottage. The Frenchmans was everything my husband & I needed for our relaxing reset. The cottage is cosy & compact. It has everything you need (except if you are a microwave chef 🙃, but you have a proper 4 ring hob & oven so you can still cook a meal) the shower room is compact but opening the shower door gives you more space at the sink. The outside space was lovely & we used it alot as we went on the hottest weekend of the year so far & the morning chicken welcome party was fun 😄 it was so quiet in the evenings & night it was lovely. It is a working farm so you do get some of the farm noise during the day but it not what you could call noisy.Just a short walk to Castle Acre, we walked along the river there & past the Priory back, with a paddle in the old ford to cool down. Definitely a place worth visiting, plus South Acre Church is worth a wander too. Swaffham is so close for a visit & groceries. This really was a little gem, & somewhere we hope to return to soon to relax.

Lovely little cottage but tight and awkward in places.Kitchen sink not big enough to hold a plate making washing up hard. Very short on work top too.Bathroom wasn't easy; shower and basin small and awkward. Opening the shower door gives a little more elbow room to use the basin.Bedroom, little provision for clothes, make-up ect.We loved our holiday; the sun was shining and enjoyed using the outside/garden.

Had a relaxing time, great location for access to the coast and surrounding area, perfect for walking and cycling. Quiet, warm and comfortable, very snug but sufficient room for our short stay. Would be very happy to return.
