Less than five minutes’ walk into the centre of bustling and trendy Burnham Market, this lovely property has a romance about it, with lashings of style too. With a modern contemporary feel and lots of London influences, this wonderful love nest would equally be a perfect holiday retreat for a couple or friends wanting to holiday in a top-notch retreat, within a few minutes’ walk of all the fabulous restaurants and shops that Burnham Market is so well known for. The owners have really gone to town making this modern cottage unique and different with fabulous wallpapers, ceramics and art. The designer touches combine to make you feel like you are the only guests in a boutique hotel. Tom Raffield lighting, Heal's furnishings, Kartell lighting, Italian driftwood table, luxury linens, Dualit kitchen appliances make this a fabulous homestay and one you will want to return to again and again.
With Sky TV you will enjoy snuggling down on a winter's evening on the squashy sofas or on warmer days sunning yourself in the pretty back garden, before planning your day on the beach at Brancaster, Holkham or Wells-next-the-Sea. If you love your history, then head to The Hoste in the village, where you can enjoy the Admiral Lord Nelson exhibition, before visiting his birthplace in nearby Burnham Thorpe. Located opposite the village car park, you can take a short walk into the village to buy fresh croissants or to stock up your picnic basket before you head off to the beach.

This is our 5th stay at Lavandula with Norfolk Retreats, and I know we’ll keep returning. Burnham market is a perfect base to explore North Norfolk from, and the property itself is beautifully furnished and kitted out, to the very highest standard. It’s always wonderfully clean and is well equipped with thoughtful extras. Norfolk Retreats also provide great service from start to finish.

We like this cottage, hence we have have booked it several times and plan to go a few times again this year. With all the amenities, location, with parking and Sky TV it ticks all our boxes. We would have booked again for the New Year 2024/5 for another week but someone beat us to it, for a 3 day break!
