Frequented by wading birds, which can be watched from the RSPB reserve nearby, this unspoilt beach is close to another local must-see, Norfolk Lavender at Heacham, 18 miles from your doorstep. A little further around the coast, the vibrant Victorian town of Hunstanton (20 miles) is famous for its stunning sunsets, striking striped cliffs, golden sands and Sea Life Centre. For a contrasting day out, the Sandringham Royal Estate (12.5 miles) has 20,000 acres of parkland and a fabulous children’s play area, both of which are open and free to visit all year round. Park outside, follow the pathway straight to the entrance and inside the lodge, where you’ll find a welcoming open-plan living area boasting high ceilings and plenty of light. With underfloor heating for all-year comfort, quality time is the focus here – the contemporary kitchen has all the essentials for effortless self-catering and is complemented by a dining suite and a lounge with soft seating and a Smart TV so you can keep up with your viewing favourites. When it’s time to sleep, choose between a king-size bedroom complete with an en-suite shower room, a single room or an accessible single bedroom with a fixed hoist and easy access to a specially adapted wet room.

The covered veranda to one corner of your cabin is a peaceful spot for al fresco meals and refreshments. A short stroll away, there’s a large furnished patio outside the on-site coffee and juice bar; the nearby lake has log-carved tables, too.
