Guests say

Broom Cottage is a quaint property appreciated for its peaceful location and charming character. Guests have enjoyed the quiet surroundings, the secure garden for pets, and the proximity to local amenities and the North Norfolk coast. The cottage's tranquility and the presence of a wood burner add to its cosy atmosphere, making it a potentially delightful stay for those seeking a rural retreat.

Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with reports of the property not being cleaned prior to arrival and issues with dirty kitchenware and shower areas. However, some guests found the cottage clean and fresh, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its quietness and peacefulness, with no passing traffic and a secure garden. It is well-situated for exploring the North Norfolk coast and local countryside, making it an ideal base for a tranquil getaway.

Comfort levels are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage cosy and well-kept, while others mention issues with uncomfortable seating and the inconvenience of bathroom access through a bedroom. The low doorways and headroom may be problematic for taller individuals.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and a secure garden for pets. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as the need for TLC, outdated equipment, and overgrown gardens. Some guests also struggled with the wood burner and shower size.

While some guests appreciated welcome packs and found the cottage well-facilitated, others noted the absence of such amenities upon arrival. As gifts are not consistently mentioned, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness, and guests should note that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Lovely & cosy. Perfect location for trips out. Log burner was definitely needed after a cold day out & about. Bed was so comfortable. The cafe in the village is a must for owner is so welcoming. Ps please pick up after your dog, we didn’t have a dog . It’s still nice to have a walk in the garden. But some previous dog owners hadn’t picked up after their dog.

Secluded secure garden for dogs . Had a really lovely stay . The one thing would prevent us rebooking is height of doors as tall husband kept banging head , otherwise perfect stay .

Ideal situation We had a cold snap which was extremely uncomfortable as the heating was not working other than the towel rail. We enjoy watching some tv in the evenings but the tv in the sitting room did not work as the reception was so poor.
