Inside, you will find three elegantly appointed bedrooms, a double, a twin and bunk, allowing flexible sleeping arrangements for a mixed group, along with a bathroom for freshening up. Gather in the kitchen/diner to plan your holiday adventures at the table for eight while the chef of your group whips up dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen. From here, the sitting room invites you in to cosy up in front of the fireplace and flick a film onto the Smart TV after a day of walking and exploring. If you prefer to spend your evenings entertained by games, the cottage has a dedicated games room, home to a pool table, table football and air hockey so you can unleash your competitive side. Be sure to also take advantage of the outdoor space with a barbecued dinner in the warmer evenings, or even to enjoy your morning coffee while you sit out in the fresh sea air. If coffee doesn’t do the trick, wake up with a short walk to Caister-On-golden Sea's beach, where your four-legged pals can swim in the surf, and treat you and your loved ones to breakfast at an independent café. Avid golfers can spend the afternoon at Great Yarmouth & Caister Golf Club, so bring your clubs! Head into Great Yarmouth for a day filled with hustle and excitement, where you'll find adrenaline-inducing rides at Pleasure Beach, fresh fish and chips at Britannia Pier, and an array of aquatic animals at the SEA LIFE centre. Lace up your walking boots and head to the Norfolk Broads to see magnificent lakes, rivers, and deep woods, and you might want to go to Winterton Beach or Horsey Beach if you want to view seals, as these sea critters return every year to give birth! Choose a character cottage in the perfect holiday destination with Wilrose Cottage. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1084153, together sleeping up to nine guests.
Caister-on-Sea is north of Great Yarmouth on Norfolk's east coast. Caister-on-Sea is one of the oldest settlements in the UK, dating back to Roman times. Its name comes from the Anglo-Saxon term 'ceaster,' which means 'Roman fort,' in honour of the fort established in 200 CE as a base for Roman forces. The picturesque town offers kilometres of sandy beaches, pubs, shops, restaurants, and takeaways to its guests. Caister Castle Car Collection has over 200 veteran, vintage, and classic vehicles and bikes, while the Old Hall Hotel's spa adds a touch of luxury.

We really enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of amendments I would make to the listing for clarification: I think it should be noted that the cottage isnât suitable for the elderly or anyone with any mobility needs due to the steepness of the stairs and the fact that the bathroom is downstairs (so could be dangerous for anyone having to make multiple trips in the night). Also, there isnât really any roadside parking due to the narrowness of the street and any parking spaces being already taken by residents. None of the above is a problem as long as anyone staying is aware before they book.

We loved having the board games and games room and overall had a great stay. A few little things that were needed - more toilet roll, and some washing up liquid. However this was not really an issue with the shops being so close. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!
